I’m Rosie Stevens and, like most people who might be reading this, I’ve known many good times in my life. I’ve also known many uncertain times, boring times, “normal” up and down times and major, life-changing periods in my life.
Following one of the biggest major life changes – in every way- I found myself in complete shock and denial, wondering what on earth I was going to do with the rest of my life.
If anyone asked me how I got through it, I would say it was with the complete, non-judgemental and practical support of the people closest to me – my close friends and family, who listened endlessly, got me out of the house just to do simple things, like going for walks, playing tennis (frequently!) socialising (reluctantly) and just taking baby steps to establish some sort of routine and a new way of life.
Gradually and over time, things changed in many ways. I was lucky during that period of my life to have the chance to work with some amazing institutions and people. I worked extensively in the organisation, leadership and individual development and coaching fields, which had historically been my background for a number of years.
I learned so much in those years and it was a combination of my personal life experiences, recent and historic, along with the colleagues, people and learning environments around me, that led me ultimately to train as an MBTI (Myers Briggs Type Indicator) Practitioner, NLP Practitioner and Master Practitioner, Advanced Hypnotherapist and EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) Practitioner; and of course, part and parcel of all of that training is, by necessity, to identify and understand your own path, choices, values, events, barriers, blockages and self-limiting beliefs.
It’s not a linear journey. Like life itself, there are times when you think you’ve totally nailed it – and then something else rears its head to be dealt with. I’ve learned that learning itself in its many forms is constant and never-ending.
So my work now is to help people discover who they really are – or could be, what they want now out of life, get to the bottom of what is holding them back and help them to release those doubts, beliefs about themselves, to understand, deal with and let go of the things that happened in the past, or the things others told them that are not serving them well in the here and now.
Rosie helped, with some EFT, NLP and MBTI (understanding of personality preferences) sessions, to break through a weight loss plateau. My job at the time was highly stressful, I was exercising 4 times a week and trying to watch my eating habits. Through the sessions with her, I was able to decide what was important, handle the work situations and stress and focus on what was best for myself.
